Billion Dollar Animation Industry
The second golden age of animation is the creation of massive amounts of both box office gross of billions of dollars in sales generated by all types of products for children, the division of the Intellectual Property market directed Kiddy, products ranging from the Bizarre (SpongeBob SquarePants) to the sublime (Harry Potter).
When was the first golden age of animation? This was a period in the history of American animation from 1928 that began with the introduction of sound cartoons. It continued in the 1960s when the introduction of this new medium of television animation attracted an audience outside the cinemas. It was during these years that an impressive number of properties animation came into being, people like Tom and Jerry, Superman, Woody Woodpecker, Felix the Cat, and a wide range of Disney characters.

What then is the second golden age of animation? This is happening today. Traditional animation, called cell animation, had been standard since the 1920s. What lies ahead in this new golden age of animation? Producers, manufacturers, distributors and children are always looking for new product next. What is it? As usual, it's something that nobody knows. Who would thought that some years ago, adults were fist fighting over something called Cabbage Patch Dolls? Whatever the next success is undoubtedly generated from the bottom of a computer chip.
