With a rich and diverse population, Canada is home to countless festivals and celebrations ranging from native rites Inuit traditional Christian events such as Christmas to the holiday crowd brought by immigrants. Here we look at 3 uniquely Canadian festivals – carnival Quebec Winter, Toronto Canadian National Exhibition and the Vancouver Québec). The usually begins the last Friday of January or the first Friday of February and continues for 17 days.
The activities for the Quebec Winter Carnival focuses on an ice palace in front of the Parliament of Quebec. The houses Bonhomme Carnival ice palace, the master of ceremonies of the festival. Better known to locals as the "CNE" or "The Ex", the Canadian National Exhibition lasts 18 days from August to early September at Exhibition Place.
On the eve of Labor Day, Exhibition Place is the gaming scene carnival and games, agricultural exhibits, art shows, acrobats, horses and dog shows, musicals and plays, parades, air shows and competitions of flowers. Meanwhile, a group of vendors selling toys, souvenirs and a variety of international cuisine. Much is expected of the CNE Canadian International Air Show held on Labor Day. This event features Daredevil loop-de-loops and synchronized maneuvers.
In the summer months in Vancouver, the city beaches and parks are alive in a constant stream of the celebrations. There's the Bard on the Beach, the 10th-Jazz Festival, but most are the only celebration of light, two weeks of the international fireworks competition that begins in late July. The real show of fireworks maximum of 4 nights of the festival with two days between the preparation. Shows start at 10:00 pm and last 25 minutes.
